CTV News. A gingerbread TV set that is thankfully oldschool. Afterall, a modern flatscreen could be eaten in a minute but just like our old TVs, this one was built to last. Even the edible dials and antenna can keep you chewing for hours! This piece can be viewed at the Coast Hotel in Lethbridge. - Some days the sun smiles a little bit bigger on you. This was the case when I talked with the folks at CTV News Lethbridge. I originally contacted them hoping they might do a story on our fundraiser but as it turned out they wanted to do way more. When they called me back to say “Sure we’ll do a story but we want to get involved too and build a gingerbread project”, I was beside myself. We all know that CTV News is a master at giving us the most up to date news, weather and sports but it can be easy in our complacency watching their “on air seriousness” reporting these things day in, day out to lose sight that these are everyday people like you and I with a passion for community and people. Clearly for them this was more than just a story. It was a call in need of action and without hesitation the people at CTV News Lethbridge stepped forward. Thank you CTV News Lethbridge coming in to our living rooms every morning and evening, keeping us well informed and thank you for your generosity and enthusiasm for our community!
